Bonn's MSc Astrophysics is hosted by the Argelander‑Institut für Astronomie with strong ties to MPIfR (Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy) and the wider Bonn–Cologne astrophysics community. The two‑year programme combines advanced coursework in cosmology, galactic dynamics, radio astronomy, and instrumentation with an extended research thesis.
The Bonn‑Cologne Graduate School of Physics and Astronomy (BCGS) is a joint excellence‑funded graduate school of the Universities of Bonn and Cologne, supporting outstanding students with full scholarships, mentoring, and access to the joint research infrastructure of both universities.
